Welcome to the conversation!

Jack, thanks for hosting Bill and I. Our conversations were an encouragment to us. The idea of extending our discussions on a blog made sense. How do you like the blog name? I thought it was better than "pairadocs".....since the community has already grown beyond two.

Dan and Bill, thanks for setting up this blog. I do like the name. Maybe it could be "Orthodocs EJ."

Anyway, I was encouraged with our fellowship and I am looking forward to the ongoing conversation.

As you know, Cathy and I will leave for Europe on Monday evening. In addition to the meetings I have two speaking assignments. My missionary friend, Jeff assigned me the topic of God's Will / My Will for a group of teens and young adults. The other is a Mother's day message. I was thinking about working with the opening prayer of Colossians 1 for the teen/adult meeting. After reading Colossians this AM I was encouraged with Paul's concern for the Colossians' faith and love and their desire to know God and His will.

What do you think?

Jack, Be sure to say hi to Jeff for me. I enjoyed him in class a number of years ago. I'll be praying for you as you work on the Colossians message. I assume it is an English congregation(?). I like the cosmic focus of Paul's thought in anemic view of Christ here. Hey, be sure to thank Kathy for the meal, etc. She's a trooper....Dan

Hi Jack,

I wanted to thank you for the great time of fellowship and food, maybe I should add fun and have three f's. I will be praying for you and Kathy as you fly to Europe and have the opportunity to minister there.

I will be e-mailing you so you have my e-mail address and also my dissertation.

I saw the doctor today and he said all my test came back negative so after some persuasion I was able to get him to agree to forget the colonoscopy. he put me on Questran and told me to keep a diet diary with comments about how the food affects me. As I was leaving he said the good news is we can say there is nothing seriously wrong. Which was in total agreement with the doctors in the Philippines and Singapore.

Bill: That is great news. I praise the Lord with you.

I am so glad that we were able to meet. Dan has told me much about you over the years of our relationship. I was especially encouraged by the interaction between you and Dan.

Thank you for your prayers regarding our upcoming trip. I will keep you posted on the blog as we have internet access.

Until the next post . . .
